I’ve done a set of short introductory
videos about brainwashing, now available on YouTube.
In them, I’m arguing that brainwashing is not magical super-tech. Nor is it entirely propaganda. It relies on human psychological weaknesses — or, to put it another way, on the remarkable flexibility of our brains.
I talk about what brainwashing is and whether it really exists, its history, types of brainwashing, and the five core psychological techniques of brainwashing. (That last one’s a bit longer.)
For a taster, here’s the first one, on ‘What is brainwashing?’
